So he is the Accuser, and has the power of death and Hell. In that sense the devil is understood as an agent of God's wrath.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;This view becomes more nuanced in Luther who speaks of the law, condemnation, and wrath as "tyrants". in other words we have a picture of something which is on the one hand right (God's judgment of us, God's law) and at the same time "tyrannical" because it, as Paul says "leads to death" and "keeps us in chains". So it is God's judgment and wrath on the one hand, but ultimately it is something that God overcomes in order to save us. God condemns condemnation. God dies to himself. In that light I was hoping to suggest one thing to you.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;"3) judgment executed by the devil"&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;I'm not aware that any judgment is said to be executed by the devil, even if he is among our accusers.
