hope

"Hope is a great plain to build upon because it’s complex. It’s not optimism, it’s not positive thinking. Hope is something that is taking into account the wounds, the pains, the ups and downs, and it’s greater than all of them. Hope doesn’t exist instead of pain. It exists in spite of pain. "

thanks for the quote...and the song - it's one of my favorites. the first time i heard it it stopped me in my tracks - then i really listened to the lyrics and was blown away by the line: "maybe redemption has stories to tell, maybe forgiveness is right where you fell"
